A break through in welding technology; Spatter Shield is an in-line system which, by atomising a unique fluid into the shielding gas flow, reduces the effect of spatter adhesion. The result being; less time wasted on the cleaning and finishing of the weld application.
When Spatter Shield is used within optimum parameters, Spatter Shield can extend the life of the torch nozzle by up to 4.5 times, and the contact tip by up to 6 times.
The Spatter Shield unit consists of 2 components, a probe and a fluid dispenser, and fits into the existing system. The fluid is compatible with: CO2, Argon, Argon Based Mixtures, Helium, Hydrogen and is suitable for: Carbon Steel, Galvanised Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Silicon Bronze Welding and Hard Facing.
The system can be pre-set to different customer requirements to meet varying diffusible hydrogen levels. Applicable standards are H5, H10, H15.
